Serves: 2-3

Ingredients:

1 cup roasted rava
2.5 cups water
1 finely chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped veggies
1 tsp mustard
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp chana dal
1 tsp urad dal
10-12 curry leaves
1 finely chopped green chilli
1 tsp grated ginger
2 tsp lemon juice
3 tblsp cashews
cilantro leaves
salt to taste


Method:

  1. Heat pan on medium-high heat and add 1ctsp mustard seeds.
  2. When they start to splutter, add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp chana dal and 1 tsp urad dal.
  3. When they slightly brown, add cashews and fry 20-30 sec
  4. Add onions and fry till translucent
  5. Add green chilli, grated ginger and curry leaves and saute for a min
  6. Add veggies and let them cook.
  7. Add 2.5 cups water, salt and 2 tsp lemon juice and get it to a rolling boil
  8. Continue on medium heat and slowly add roasted rava. Keep stirring as you go.
  9. Cover for about 2 min to let the rava soak in the water
  10. Sprinkle some Cilantro leaves on top and serve with coconut chutney or pickles
