Lassi is a popular drink of India, especially in Northern India, during the hot months of summer. It is made by blending dahi/yoghurt with sugar, crushed ice. It can be made plain or you can add various flavors like mango, strawberries, rooh-afza etc to it depending on your likes. It is very tasty and easy to make. Ingredients:

1/2 cup dahi/yoghurt
1/2 cup milk
4 tsp sugar
1 tsp Rooh-Afza - optional, but I like this taste
1 cup crushed ice
3-4 Rose-petals - optional

Serves 2


1. Run all ingredients through the juice blender or just the regular blender.

2. Pour into glasses and top with 1-2 rose petals and a few drops of Rooh-Afza.


• You can add mangoes to make mango lassi.

• Add whatever flavor you want - fruits, elaichii, jeera powder, cardomom - whatever taste and flavor you desire.
