Paneer Makhmali
Ingredients:
400 gms Paneer, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 large Onion, sliced
1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp Oil / Ghee / Butter
Ground to a fine paste
2 cups Dhaniya Leaves, chopped
1/2 cup Mint Leaves, chopped
2-3 Green Chillies
1-inch Ginger
1/4 cup Cashews
1/4 cup Yoghurt
3 tsp Lemon Juice
Salt to taste
Serves 4
Method:
1. Pierce the paneer cubes with a fork and marinate them in the ground paste for atleast 15 min.
2. Heat oil/ghee/butter in a pan and saute onions till they are transluscent.
3. Add the marinated paneer and saute for another 5-7 minutes.
4. Add milk. Simmer till the milk evaporates.
5. Sprinkle with Garam Masala and serve immediately.
Tips
• Can be eaten with a tooth-pick.
• Can also be served as a side dish.
